The Apez demo-rezzer kit for prefabs allows you to show your creations to potential buyers on a designated demo area. Requirements:

Most important, your building and/or the controls used should support a demo mode or public usage setting.

  • A demo-rezzing area large enough to hold your builds.
  • A one prim vendor like Apez.iVend)
    • You can use any vendor you like or a prim that contains your building set to "buy".
  • A rez it button as supplied in the box to relay the commands to your builds.

Boxing your Build:

  • Place your build on the spot where you will want to have it shown, make sure it is fairly close to the spot it will be rezzed in.

If you have the build in a rezbox, rez it and save it to delete the rez box scripts.

  • Rez the vendor box that came with the boxed version or rez a box of your own,the one that comes with it has "front" marked on it.

Have that pointing towards you, and have it wherever you would like to keep all the boxes,it doesnt't need to be in the front of the building.
(The boxes will be invisible when you are done anyway but good to keep them kinda together and orderly.

  • Add the demo-rezzer_main script to the box and the user notecard, add all the users that should be able to edit your prefab rezzor setup.
(Right-click the box and drag the script from your inventory into the content tab of the box).

  • Right-click the building, open the content tab and drag the demo-rezzer_component script into the content tab of the linked part(s).

(Each linked piece of the build needs this script, and each part that isn't linked such as doors or windows or blinds etc..)

  • Once you have all the scripts in place left click the rezbox, you will see a blue menu, left click record.

  • After you have the building position recorded, you need to take each part of the build into inventory.

It is a good idea to have parts marked to know exactly which parts belong to the building you are working on,
and to have your inventory open to the recent folder that is where the parts will be found easily.

  • Right click the rezbox and open up the Content tab, go to your inventory to where the parts of the build are.

Left-click the top part then hold the shift button and touch the last part on the bottom of the row, this will highlight all the parts at once, now release the shift button, left click the parts and drag them into the content tab of the rezbox.

  • Name the rezbox whatever the name of the build is and in description name the first one prefab 1 or build 1.

This description will have to be the same in the vendor button in the next step so it rezzes the correct building.

  • Left click the rezbox and rez the build to make sure everything is there.

If not you will have to redo the first steps again.

Setting up the rez-it button

  • Now right click the "rez it" Button on the display delivered to you in the prefab rezzor boxed version and check "edit linked parts" in the edit window up on the upper left side, then click another part of the display and then the ret it button, add the demo-rezzer_relay script to it,and name it whatever the house is names and in the description build 1 or whatever you put in the description of the rezbox.

  • Left-click the button and the building should rez,the button can be no further than 96 meters away from the build,

which in normal cases it wouldn't be.

  • Rez a one prim Vendor and set it up for the building that you just created the rezzor for (if you use the display we have given you then move the vendor to the upright place in the vendor above the rez button),now the button corresponds to the vendor they will be able to buy the building with.
  • Now left click and hold the mouse button down for 3 seconds and release, you will get a blue menu.
    • The Hide all button will make all rez boxes invisible.
    • Show all will make them appear.
    • Clean all will derez any buildings that are rezzed.
    • Users will give a list of all users in the user list and Rez demo will....you guessed it,rez the build.
The setting All in the ~User notecard will allow public usage of the demo rezzers.
